It was there that Dr. Temmen did research on pediatric craniofacial deformities with some of the most well respected plastic surgeons in the country. This world-class education prepared Dr. Temmen for her future as a plastic surgeon.

After graduation from medical school in 2005, Dr. Temmen began her plastic surgery training in Tampa, Florida. After six years of extensive, specialized training in cosmetic surgery, reconstructive surgery, upper and lower extremity surgery, breast surgery, craniofacial surgery, and microvascular surgery, Dr. Temmen completed her plastic surgery residency training at the University of South Florida.

When not working, Dr. Temmen enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling. She also manages to still find time to help on the family farm in Bland, Missouri.

In Her Own Words...

"I feel that to be a great plastic surgeon, you must not only have an aesthetic eye and be technically skilled, but you must also be a good listener and communicator. I feel that one of my unique skills as a female plastic surgeon is the ability to understand a woman's desires, to be able to listen carefully and patiently, and to see each patient as a true individual with unique anatomy, goals, lifestyles, and methods of communication."
