Breast Augmentation: Safe Silicone Breast Implants in Tampa, FL by Dr Jaime Perez
Description
This 27 year old female desired larger, fuller breasts to balance her upper and lower body. After much research and discussion with Dr. Jaime Perez, she decided on an endoscopic transaxillary breast augmentation with silicone breast implants placed under the muscle. After much research, in November 2006 the FDA approved silicone breast implants for use in the United States. Years of clinical studies and trials found silicone breast implants to be safe and to have no association with systemic illnesses. Today's silicone breast implants have a slightly thicker shell than earlier versions and have a lower chance of leakage or rupture. Unlike saline breast implants, it is recommended that women with silicone breast implants undergo MRI monitoring three years postoperatively and then every other year there after. Today, the majority of breast implants that Dr. Jaime Perez uses are silicone. Most board-certified plastic surgeons like Dr. Perez feel that silicone breast implants look and feel more natural than saline breast implants.
